Tiny Tiffany is a children’s cartoon (aimed at girls 6-12) based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale Thumbellina. Tiffany is a normal girl in her own world, a world where magical creatures like fairies and unicorns are normal. One day she finds a key next to a flower locket, when she uses the key/locket she opens a portal to a different world where everything is big and she is tiny! Tiffany meets Victor the mouse and they have adventures together and make lots of friends.
I traced over my own sketches on Illustrator then put all the images together on Photoshop. I didn’t use a template for the storyboard because it felt unnatural. I simply used illustrator to make the wonky boxes around each board to differentiate each scene.
Board 1 – Wide shot, exterior. Tiffany in her garden
Board 2 – Close up, zooming in to Tiffany’s face
Board 3 – Close up of the flower and the key
Board 4 – Wide shot – Tiffany entering new world
Board 5 – Medium shot – zoom towards Victor the mouse
Board 6 – Meduim shot – Tiffany riding Victor
Board 7 – Title shot
Each board cuts to the next one.
